As a videographer and multimedia producer, Juan Haro, is specialized in filming short documentaries, and developing interactive multimedia projects and digital communication campaigns. During the last five years he has been producing, shooting and editing multimedia content on human rights and social issues in Latin America, Africa, the U.S., and Europe.
With a strong creative and digital background, he independently manages every step of the production, editing, and scripting process as well as develops new strategies to engage with the public on a multi-platform or social media environment.

Explosive weapons are one of the most devastating threats to children during armed conflicts – but also after. Long after a conflict has ended – after the terrifying sounds of gunfire, mortars and rockets have gradually faded – the impact of explosive weapons can reverberate for years to come. Iraq remains among the countries most contaminated with explosive objects, which still severely injure children just trying to go about daily life – walking to school, helping with chores or playing with friends.

Led the production of the video, promoted through UNICEF global platforms, telling the story of Salissou Hassane Latifa, the latest Ms Geek Africa winner - 2018. Her winning design is an app that helps communication between people caring for accident victims and the emergency services and allows medical staff to advise on basic first aid before they arrive at the scene.

On 20th June, World Refugee Day, the UN Refugee Agency, UNHCR, in partnership with the Ikea Foundation, unveiled a new prototype for refugee shelters at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Four years in the making, the UN hopes that shelters like these will help make daily life easier for the world's 51 million refugees.
